MBG Wastewater Treatment Plant – for Wastewater Treatment for the Free Nutritional Meal Program
The MBG Wastewater Treatment Plant is a wastewater treatment system designed to handle liquid waste from kitchen activities in the Free Nutritional Meal Program. The large volume of daily cooking produces waste containing food scraps, oil, grease, and other organic materials. If not properly treated, this waste can pollute the environment and disrupt the sewage system.
This system operates through a series of interconnected processes. In the initial stage, the wastewater is filtered to separate coarse solids so they don't interfere with subsequent processes. Afterward, the wastewater enters an oil and grease separator unit to reduce substances that can cause blockages and hinder further processing.
The next stage is biological treatment, where microorganisms are used to decompose organic materials in the wastewater. This process helps reduce pollutant levels, improving water quality. Sedimentation is then carried out to separate sludge from the treated water. The treated water then undergoes a final stage of clarification and disinfection before being discharged into the environment.
The MBG Wastewater Treatment Plant is designed to be easy to operate and can be adjusted to meet the needs of the kitchen's capacity. This system also considers efficient land use and ease of maintenance, making it suitable for daily operations.
By using the MBG Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), wastewater from the Free Nutritious Meals program can be managed more effectively. This system helps reduce the risk of pollution, maintains environmental cleanliness, and supports the long-term sustainability of kitchen operations.
