Ultra Filtration

Ultrafiltration is a semipermeable membrane that is used to filter particles such as: Colloids, Turbidity, Suspended solids, bacteria and all kinds of molecules measuring 0.1-0.01micron. Ultrafiltration or UF is a filtering method that is widely used today. Where this membrane separates between small particles and some dissolved substances with water.
Ultrafiltration is used to replace conventional screening processes such as Clarifier. Where the advantage of using ultrafiltration is that the system used does not require large enough space such as settling using clarifier in general. Another advantage that is sufficiently considered is the elimination of chemicals when using clarifier, such as coagulants, flooculants, bacterial killers and PH controllers. The capacity of ultrafiltration which is now on the market is Ultrafiltration which has a capacity of 500liter to 6000liter for 1 stick.
The main function of the UF Membrane is to filter Total Suspended Solid (TSS). The ability of the ultrafiltration membrane to filter TSS can reach 99% if applied correctly for each design.
Ultrafiltration in addition to replacing the function of the clarifier, membrane ultrafiltration is also widely used before the reverse osmosis system.
